OUR FOUNDERS
Head designer and co-founder Jack Watkins grew up in Southern California. Jack has worked in the apparel industry for more than three decades, and his industry experience exposed him to the best (and worst) of garment production all over the world. When he decided to launch his own knitwear brand, he knew the highest quality knitwear came out of Lima, Peru. His strong personal sense of style is inspired by music from the '70s and '80s, as well as British Mod and DanceHall Ska culture, and it echoes throughout the brand. Co-founder Allison Chock had a long career in law and finance before partnering with Jack to run the business side of Propaganda Agency.

BRAND ETHOS
We value originality, sustainability, and quality construction above all else. We design small collections and produce our luxury knitwear in limited quantities. There certainly are larger and better-known luxury brands out there, but when you wear Propaganda Agency, you telegraph your unique personality.

Our Knitters
We take pride in our carefully crafted knits. Artisanal knitters in Peru with generations of experience oversee the production of each piece. Depending on the style, a single sweater may take several days to knit and finish. (In fact, we were so impressed with the work done at this Lima factory, we invested in the factory, too!) And because we use sustainable materials and practices, you can feel good knowing your clothes weren’t made at the expense of the environment.
Ethical and Humane Practices
Alpacas are a keystone feature of our brand. In addition to being adorable, alpacas produce some of the softest, most luxurious wool in the world. Alpaca wool is lighter, stronger, and five times warmer than sheep's wool. Alpaca wool contains no lanolin, which makes alpaca yarns hypoallergenic. (Read: NOT itchy, hooray!) We take immense pride in sourcing our alpaca yarns from licensed and certified humane farms where the animals are able to roam free and graze on natural grasses. You can rest assured knowing that your treasured Propaganda Agency alpaca clothing has been borne from ethical and humane practices.
Now let's talk Peruvian Pima Cotton -- the softest, most luxurious cotton in the world. The cotton yarns we use for our garments are from organically grown Peruvian Pima cotton, starting at the seed level. In addition to being sustainably and responsibly sourced, the silky smooth hand that this quality of cotton yarn delivers is second-to-none. You'll love the feel of our cotton knits against your skin -- it's like nothing else out there!
